I have found Poshmark to be very fun and addicting! I said when I hit 1000 followers I would make a post like I have seen so many others do. Before I knew it I was at 1800 and I decided to wait until 2000. Boy things move fast around here! I've made some awesome purchases and chatted with some of the coolest and funniest people around. About me, I love my God. I love my husband, family, friends and furbabies. (And my feathers too - yep, I am a parrot keeper.)

tammyk289 I have found inspiration here on Poshmark. The last few years I have fallen into that middle age frumpy grandma jeans and Tshirt kind of look. Seeing options out there that don't cost an arm and a leg has opened my eyes to how easy it can be to spruce it up a bit. My husband might hate me being on here for spending money, but he's reaping the benefits of having a happy Granny again. ;)

tammyk289 Speaking of my husband, I've made reference to him killing me recently. That is ONLY a joke. He's the most easy going giving person I have ever known. He has never complained about how I manage the checkbook. He knows I know how and when to juggle. I've done it for years. I have lots of practice. And I am so blessed. He loves me no matter if I am a little fluffy. Or a lot fluffy.

tammyk289 Briefly, we have 5 grown children, some with some spouses and better halves. We have 3 grand babies. 2 boys and a girl. 5 rescue dogs. 10 various species of parrots. And we work together in a family business. We are blessed.

nikitanoel @tammyk289 I love your attitude and I'm the same, didn't much feel like dealing with fashion for the past few years! All the hype about name brands and $900. Purses just bugged me. I got a baby blue Dooney Burke purse that had what I thought was baby alphabet soup on it and a multicolor zipper. My sons girlfriend told me it was at least a $500. purse at the time, I said I think it's ugly, and then I gave it to her! LOL now I wish I had it back! LMBO! I'm 45 so I've gained about 25lbs over the past year my metabolism is broken or something! My hubby is awesome and the love of my life so he's the only man I want to impress anyway! I've met some really cool chicks on here and I think I'll add you to that list!

nikitanoel @tammyk289 yes, I will do that! I love dogs too! I have a Japanese chin Buster, a rott/malamute who is HUGE,Ringo, and sadly I had to put my sib husky down a month ago she was Nikitanoel. I also have fish and a tortoise that my 6 yr. old found! I'm in FL so I guess they had a nest somewhere nearby! Yep, I'll have to will that pet to my grandchildren! They live 150 yrs! That's commitment!

tammyk289 @heatherj123 Hi Heather, I would be glad to help out. As for bundling, there are many different ways you can do it. Personally I have found it easier to make a new listing with the individual items and once created "tag" the person buying it so they know where to "check out." I did one just this morning. If you will look at my closet you will see several items that are marked "bundled" and then a similar post near it that shows SOLD with the red tag marking by Poshmark. I edited all my original items to be an astronomical amount so someone wouldn't try to buy it after I already promised it to my buyer. Then I created her BUNDLE. I marked her agreed price and she bought from there. I am not sure how you got messed up on your shipping? What *I* do is package my bundle up and bring it to work with me where we have a scale that is USPS approved. If it weighs more than 2lbs then we have to add additional postage. You have to go back into your "orders" and purchase additional that way. That extra postage comes off your bottom line so remember that when you are dealing. If its a large bundle of jeans, they are going to weigh a LOT, so don't go down so much you lose money. If its a bundle of jewelry, you can be more flexible.

tammyk289 @heatherj123 As for PayPal, well...that is a big issue of debate. You shouldn't take PayPal because that takes away the 20% that Poshmark makes for hosting us here. Some people complain about that 20% but if you were to take your items to a consignment store, their percentage would be MUCH higher. HOWEVER, I do see some seller/buyer point of view as well. For instance, I saw a cute piece of jewelry for $7. That was all I wanted in this particular person's closet. That meant that transaction would cost me $14 total with the shipping. I skipped it because I didn't want to spend $14 for the item. I would have spent $10, but not $14. Many sellers will take PayPal and since they aren't losing the 20% they will pay the minimal postage themselves for something small. They are making more money by keeping their 20% minus the shipping and the buyer is not having to pay that shipping fee. Of course there is a BIG BIG controversy about it. I see both sides.

tammyk289 @heatherj123 As for making your personalized messages under your name, you would go to your profile and put it there. It's there near where it shows your "website" address. Play with that area. It might take you a time or two to get it just how you want it but don't give up. And if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I really haven't been at this all that long. And I have bought wayyyyyyyyyy more than I have sold. Hubby likes to see boxes going out but too many come in. LOL Good thing I intercept the CC bill! THAT is my biggest hint! Intercept the CC bill! :)

I have a mealy amazon that is somewhere older than 46 years old. Her band was stamped in 1967 so that makes her a year older than me. It's an open band so she was banded as an adult. She was wild caught from out of the country somewhere. At least as far as we can find in doing our research on her. I love my birds! And dogs! :)

gypsyangel Well I has you know I do a German Shepherd rescue and about a year ago one parakeet was tossed around in a little tornado that they had up in the city area and was found and they got another one for him because it was having emotional problems and I ended up with both of the parakeets here. They need to be placed together, Because they have become emotionally dependent on each other. But of course I'm not a birdhouse really. And I've been trying to place them I have people that will take them but they need to go to somebody that understands birds, knows how to care for birds, and provide the proper environment. I will not give them to anybody for their children to have as pets because then they end up suffering neglect Usually. So these two do need to go to a bird knowledgeable household....

tammyk289 @redrivergirl Oh look, I found you! It took me about 6-8 weeks to get going well. I have to say, I became OBSESSED with sharing other peoples closets before it started working for me. You do a FABULOUS job of presentation. Sharing at the right time is important. Like 4am isn't a busy time (however I was up this morning and sharing from my bathtub at that time today cause thats when I could fit it in). Make friends with good sharers. So many on my "pink" post are GREAT at sharing. As many as you share of theirs, they share of yours or many times they share even more. We tend to get a bit OCD about clicking ever single item. *hehe* Sharing in the evening after work, or even after like 9pm is a good time. And anytime daytime you can't really go wrong. I haven't ever attended a Poshfest. I really wanted to go to Vegas for this one coming up but we just got back from Vegas two weeks ago and I can't afford two trips back to back (went for my parents 50th wedding anniversary). See @gypsyangel right above this post here. She is a true Posh soldier here. Share for her and she shares back! And, she's Okie too. ;) Maybe we need to have an Okie-Poshfest!

A teeny tiny little Macaw huh? I wonder what my big Macaw would think about that? LOL It's not that I favor one over the other for sure. I love those tiny little babes. I just don't want them to get hurt with the big ones. The little ones are easier to place generally. Seems the big ones tend to gravitate my way because I am too SILLY to be scared of them. Most people are intimidated. I have the scars to prove what a nut I am! *grins* I do agree though...we seem to be on the same wave length. And I would like you to meet my other Okie friend, @redrivergirl . My Katie is, you guessed it...on the Red River. The correct side that is. ;) She needs a bit of direction so I pointed her your way. I knew you could give her some good advice. Myself happened to have just lucked into having such a blast out here. There really isn't a formula. Just have fun. Socialize. It all will take shape naturally I suppose. :)

tammyk289 @delilah103 Awwwwwwwwwww Thanks so much for comin on over and checking me out! Look down at the bottom of my closet and you will see most of my fur babies and feathered kids individually. My birds have their own room in our shop. It's heated and cooled and its perfect for them. The dogs are spoiled rotten too. They don't have the run of the house when we aren't home but my husband built them a "doggie condo" that is on our enclosed back porch that is also heated and cooled as well. Of course they are inside when we are home. My two old Yorkie ladies are getting old and starting to worry me. :( Both are completely deaf and I am getting concerned about their eye sight. But they are loved and content so they will be there until they aren't happy anymore. And congratulations on your new home! That is exciting for you! If you are on Facebook look me up.
