FREEDOM
This year, I lost my freedom.
The Fourth of July—no longer mine.
Independence slipped through borderlines,
My heart, my hopes, my dreams—
fractured by frontiers and buried in bureaucracy.
Fear... like a shadow that won’t let go.
Racism... like chains I never chose.
Eagerness... with nowhere to land.
Emotion... unraveling in silence.
Dominance... cloaked as law.
Opposition... wearing a uniform.
Magic... gone.
The spark that once lit skies—extinguished.
No firework can fix what’s been taken.
No anthem can sing me whole.
