490 Vintage Avon Kenneth Jay Lane ram necklace, earrings and bracelet jewelry set A limited edition designed by KJL for Avon. Lane, a highly regarded costume-jewelry designer, created jewelry for Avon between 1986 and 2005. The iconic Avon, founded in 1886 by David H. McConnell as the California Perfume Company in New York City, was a multi-level marketing business selling perfumes and lady’s toiletries. Renamed Avon Products Inc., in 1938, the company began producing costume jewelry in 1963 as free gifts to boost product sales. The first jewelry collection included in the Avon catalog in 1971, kicked off Avon’s emergence as the world's largest costume-jewelry producer, using contemporary materials such as Lucite, Bakelite, and other materials significant of the era in which it was created. Gold tone, rhinestone, beads marked K.J.L. for AVON Please see pictures for approximate measurements and condition.Excellent vintage condition with expected signs of wear and patina from vintage item. We use a standard size small bust for display photos. Please double check measurement photos before purchase as we don't accept returns. Thank you for your interest! RHF490
