lanajrussell Hey, could you walk me through how to do live shows. For some reason, it makes me nervous. How would you also jump on with your items. I see others hosting plus sharing other peoples stuff. Plus you made me spend money.

ndar @lanajrussell hi Lana!!! I would love to help. I actually was totally opposed to doing lives initially, the thought of being on camera made me really uncomfortable. So I just started by telling myself that I could apply to do lives, but I didn't have to do a live until I was ready. Eventually I did it and I told myself not to give up & stay consistent. I created this listing so people could be notified and I chose the same day every week to do my shows.

ndar @lanajrussell I usually separate my shows 2 weekends I do clothing & 2 weekends I do bags and accessories. I also do one day during the week, once a month for sale items. You just have decide what type of theme you want, based on what you have... or you could do a variety. When you have a theme it tends to attract more people in my opinion. Maybe if you come to my next show I could do a question and answer segment during the show? Would that be helpful?

lanajrussell @ndar I have so much. I also liked how you did your party. Mostly because I have 5 huge totes of Plus Size clothing. To be honest, I have a 3 car full of inventory to list.

ndar @lanajrussell I keep my inventory to a minimum. I don't like to have a lot of inventory it gets too confusing. Right now I'm down to like 350 active listings....which is the lowest I've ever had, mainly cause I'm doing shows. But I don't like having thousands of listings. That's not my thing & I know where everything is cause it's manageable. Unlisted inventory is kind of a different story, but overall I keep it small so I don't feel out of control.

lanajrussell @ndar That is smart. My sister has been my big donation consigner. Every time she goes on a spear, I get her items. I spend too much time sorting through everything. Right now, I have 2200 items. So I get a little overwhelmed. What should I do to set up my first party. I have enough to choose from to start. Just to downsize older items.

ndar @lanajrussell I would totally do a plus size party. That's a really good niche. Use inventory you want to move, but also add some fresh pieces in there too. People always like new inventory, from my experience. I'm no expert at shows tho! I'm still learning and I definitely feel confident about selling on Poshmark ...but selling on shows is a different story lol

ndar @lanajrussell if you want to move things fast and you're not worried about money, then advertising "low starts" always seems popular. Or if you have a specific brand or sizes put that in your listing information when you create the show- think of things that will send a signal out to the perfect buyer for what you're selling . Like I said I'm still learning...these are all just things that im figuring out as I go

ndar @lanajrussell hmmm ...usually you do training around the time that they onboard you, like when you get approved. Usually you have to do it before you get the final approval to do the lives...that's weird

ndar @lanajrussell hey friend I deleted your #, never post your # on posh. Doing a posh show takes a good amount of preparation. I would not suggest scheduling one until you know how to do everything. Check out the posh blog or contact Poshmark to see if they can send you the info. I'm happy to help after you get all the logistics from Poshmark. I start preparing for a show at least a week ahead, but as you do them more it gets easier to do them spur of the moment. That's all my opinion of course.
