40s Nurse’s Uniform / Scrubs (?)

Vintage 1940s or 50s Nurse’s uniform dress (?) maybe these are scrubs? Brand is Whitehouse which I believe was a uniform company out of Chicago. Tags say this is Sanforized fabric (a treatment of fabrics to reduce shrinkage from washing). I see this used on older garments like denim, this feels like a thick sturdy cotton fabric. In a faded teal green color. 1 front pocket, drawstring waist, button closure at back of neck. Has a unique crossed detail at neck. Tagged Women’s size M fits more like a M/L. Modeled on a S/M 34B 29” waist 5’5” and this is a bit big on me, but comfy. Unisex. In good used condition with no noticeable flaws besides a tiny hole by front pocket and mild signs of wear. Maybe this can be used for a costume or be added to a vintage clothing collection. Or upcycled into a wearable dress! This was made to be durable and last.
