Johnson Brothers are a long established pottery manufacturer in England. They are famous for producing decorative tableware. Plates such as these 4 square plates with the classic rope edge embellishment and centred by beautiful images of fruit would be used as side plates for bread, cake or salad. Equally they could be used purely as decorative items on the wall or on a plate rack.Nice vintage condition. One plate has a minor chip on the underside. (See pictures for details).
