3 Rare MICHAEL WEEMS ‘Elise’ Glasses / Hand Blown & Etched / One Chip / Retired

Michael Weems is an artist known for his unique collections of glass and crystal art. He worked for Gucci and Tiffany & Co. before starting his own business in Palm Springs. His work has been in the gift bags at the Academy Awards, given to visiting dignitaries in Washington D.C., and he's created pieces for stores like Tommy Bahama and Neiman Marcus. He now works exclusively in metal so his glass pieces are becoming collectors items. This set of three original Weems glasses contains one fluted champagne and two small white wine/champagne glasses. I have never seen the smaller glasses before and cannot find any examples of them on the internet. The champagne flute is signed on the base (see photo) but the smaller glasses are not. The flute measures 9 1/2 inches tall by 3 3/8 inches wide at the top and the wine glasses measure 7 3/8 inches tall by 2 inches wide. All three are in excellent condition except for one wine glass which has a chip on the base (see photo).
