20 Ct Emerald-Cut Moissanite and 14kt Yellow Gold Ring

I purchased this gorgeous ring from a seller in India ages ago, but somehow it just hasn’t felt like mine…is it yours? With an emerald-cut center stone measuring approx. 13.5 x 18mm, this ring has a DEW (diamond equivalent weight) of about 20 carats. Moissanite, however, is less dense than diamond, so the actual weight is less. The center stone is flanked in classic three-stone style by two trapezoidal moissanites each approx. 5 x (5, 3) mm. If you’re not familiar with moissanite, do your homework before purchasing this ring. Moissanite passes cheap diamond testers but is given away by its outrageous double-rainbow sparkle endowed by double refraction and high dispersion. At Mohs 9.25 it is only slightly more scratchable than diamond but less prone to chipping. Frankly, I could go on and on about why I think moissanite is vastly superior to diamond, but I won’t bore you. If it were a mined diamond, this ring would be priced in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Issues: (1) Due to the size of the center stone, the cullet of the gem pokes into the finger area. I regularly wear this ring’s sister (14kt white gold) which has the same issue but I am not at all bothered by it since the protrusion is an edge, not a point. (2)(a) One of the small trapezoids has a chip under a prong. (b) There is possibly a chip on the center stone under a prong. (3) Due to the price of this item it will be cleared through Poshmark Authentication, so shipping will take longer than usual.
