The United States Glass Company opened its glass factory in Tiffin, Ohio in 1889. It would later be known as Tiffin Glass and would evolve from making pressed glass items in the early 1900’s to high quality blown glass stemware through 1980 when, after being sold several times, the company went out of business for good.
From 1960 to 1967, Tiffin produced this stemware pattern called Olympia. It features a plain bowl on top of a faceted stem that is hollow inside - Tiffin excelled at making complicated hollow stems. The water glasses measure 6 1/2 inches tall by 3 7/8 inches wide and are in excellent vintage condition except for one glass having an air bubble in the bowl (see photo).
