Fine pair of 19th century South American Trapadero style carved wooden stirrups, Chile/ Peru, chip carved decoration and original hand forged steel fittings. The idea of the Huaso being the makers of these is like the American cowboy. These may be Peruvian. I think the style certainly travelled, possibly due to migration or movement of the Huaso themselves. 6" at the widest × 8 1/2" long 24" from bottom of stirupp to top of leather banding. These are in such great condition that you could strap them to your saddle and ride. Keep in mind, they are aver 100 years old. There are two pieces of tire rubber attached to the heal of each stirrup, added much later.
