19th c. Signed Oil on Canvas Landscape Featuring a Strolling Couple …Or maybe it is a courting couple as they stroll through the field- the woman with her flowers just picked and the man with his walking stick under his arm. It is signed by the artist lower left "L. Ricio" (?). The painting is in good condition and it is housed in an ornate gilt and gesso frame which does have some missing gesso in both the left and right corners (see photos) and a gap on the back where the bottom doesn't completely set in the frame but as you can see, still displays nicely from the front. Frame measurement is 19 1/4" by 16 1/2" while sight measurement is 11 3/8" by 8 3/4". Acquired from Diederich Auction Gallery In Winchester, KY from an estate in Kentucky.
