This beautiful Native American Kachina doll, made by artisan Platero in 1998, is a rare and unique find for collectors. This large kachina is standing at 14" tall, 5" wide at the base and features many intricate details and exquisite craftsmanship. The doll has been signed by the artist and is handmade with high-quality pine wood. The doll depicts a "DREAM" dancer, showcasing the Navajo tribe's rich cultural heritage and a dream catcher The Ojibwe- also known as the Chippewa tribe originally created dream catchers.  Their purpose was to protect sleepers, especially children from bad dreams, nightmares, and evil spirits. Native Americans believed that at night, the air was filled with dreams, both good and bad. This piece is a must-have for any collector of Native American art or Kachina dolls.
