· This was a Joint Contingency Task Group who during the past 30 years have been several ad hoc SF organizations established for specific Missions. This group was formed to conduct the Son Tay Prisoner of War Recovery Operation in North Vietnam to raid the POW camp and attempt to free the American prisoners there.
These are from the Estate of a former Military History Professor who had passed from Cancer in 2008. I am identifying and adding the history of these patches through a Combination of his notes and book sources such as Special Forces of the United States Army 1952/1982 by LTC Ian D.W. Sutherland (Ret.), U.S Army Patches: An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Cloth Unit Insignia by Barry Jason Stein and the United States Naval Aviation Patches Series by Michael L. Roberts.
