In excellent condition 1990s Esprit floral midi dress size 4/6. No damage. Missing button at waist that has been replaced. Rayon fabric. Button front. Blouson style top with set in waist and full midi length skirt. Beautiful cabbage rose print. Still so fashionable and figure flattering. Waist measure 13.5” across, chest is 18.5” across and length is 48”.

myrriahjoy @bethanski no. It’s the waistband and it’s construction is mentioned in the description. Description is pretty detailed concerning construction and photos can be enlarged. You may want to read description again and enlarge the photo of the waistband to see it better.

bethanski @myrriahjoy I’m sorry. I did read the description, I’ve just never heard the term “set in waist.” I also zoomed in but the pattern makes it difficult to see. Thank you for clarifying so gracefully. 🤗

myrriahjoy @bethanski no problem. Set in typically means it’s a waistband like you’d find at the top of a skirt or pants but instead of the garment terminating with the waistband the garment continues after. It’s a sturdier construction, often interfaced and gives a garment extra structure and durability but not much stretch at the waist.
