This is a very nice Jerry Schurr unframed 1983 Art Exhibition poster depicting San Andreas Lake. Summa Gallery Brooklyn Heights NY Published and Distributed by John Szoke Graphics, Inc. The poster is in very good condition with only minor tears at the top and bottom borders, shown in pics 5 & 6. Slight wrinkles at top border and rough edges at top border, pics 7 & 8. About the artist: Jerry Schurr was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and trained as a painter at the University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts before beginning to make serigraphs in 1971. Schurr first made a name for himself with his American landscapes, made using the difficult-to-master "reduction" method of painting and silkscreen printing. In this process, Schurr uses up to 75 colors and applies stencils of images, building up layers on the canvas.
