1980s Secretary Dress

1980s Blouson Style Dress by “Jane Baar” New York Vibrant red with black floral print consisting of outlined and shaded accents, giving it a mixed pattern feel. Bodice has double breasted button closure with collar and lapel, slouchy shoulders, and ¾ cuffed sleeves. Calf length skirt has elastic waist with a slight slit up the back. Dress is half lined with a white mesh fabric. A great choice for a comfortable vintage fit that is office appropriate. Measurements are taken lying flat : Bust 22“ Shoulder to Shoulder seam to seam 22” Sleeve Length from seam 12” Armhole 9.5” Waist rested is 14“ can stretch to 17” Hips 22“ Bodice length 18“ & 2” Blouson overhang Skirt length 28“ Skirt slit length 9.5“ Vintage clothing will sometimes have its flaws with age; this lovely is unfortunately missing the care/fabric content tag, and has a few snags in the lining. For the tag content, I would say the fabric feels like acetate, maybe with a bit of rayon,handled best with a hand wash, and size would best fit about a large.
