1980's RAYON SHIRTWAIST DRESS 80's vintage S petite

1980's "It's My Turn" rayon shirtwaist dress. Button front bodice, one chest pocket, elastic waist. Fits a S Petite... I wear a S, and this fit me well, except it felt too short in the torso for me. I am 5'7", and I felt like this was made for someone shorter (or at least with a shorter torso). Please compare the measurements below with a dress you have at home that fits well.
