This is an absolutely beautiful 1980’s vintage 2 piece knit suit by St. John Marie Gray. St. John has been producing the finest knits since 1962. They are known for their high quality and elegant timeless styles. This knit is a wool and rayon blend. There are so many details in the making of this including: soft pleats around the waistline that are very flattering, all of the edges have a nice finish, a stylish slit in the back of the skirt, there is a hook that attaches the jacket to the skirt to keep everything in place, a soft shoulder pad giving this a feminine but sophisticated look. The waist features a beautiful floral fabric pin with pearls in the middle. This is such a treasure and in excellent condition!
