1980s Jose Cotel avant garde belt in a curving corset-like shape. It's made of stripes of black leather alternating with spotted "hair on hide" leather. The strips are held together with silver metal barrel shaped clamps. It closes in back with a silver buckle. It's quite a statement piece! It measures for a waist of between 28" - 31". The width at the center is 6". Good condition but a few areas need to be re-glued.

cdwph2gmail So it looked like one side of belt where I attached the buckle has been cut? And the stitching is coming apart on the strap with the holes? Also why does the first photo show the top strap so much shorter and doesn’t drape with the rest? Can you post full length photos of this layed out flat front and back please ? Really cool piece but want to see everything

vtgrunway @cdwph2gmail I added more pics. It’s not stitching that has come apart but glue. There are a few places that need to be glued down with leather glue which I can do. I didn’t see them or it’s happened since I listed it. The top strand does not look like it was ever attached to the others. I think it’s supposed to go straight across.
