prettypimpen @greenshoes0 Great question! I'm not really sure. It could possibly be a popular position and way to photograph the photographer used when taking baby pic's in the 70's. I was born in 77, and I was in this exact pose! Hope this helped

greenshoes0 The original portraits were done in the early 50’s by a photographer I have forgotten. They were sets of 3 and were a means of advertising Charming bathroom tissue. I didn’t get that at the time. It was extremely effective in generously promoting their product. Since that time many artists have tried to duplicate the originals. However, after the “boomers” have passed, that memory of so many little girls having these prints taped up on their bedroom walls. PEACE ✌️ Paula
