1975 Vintage Handpainted China Mounted In Wood By Jonny Kimzey

Jonquil "Jonny" Kimsey was a local artist in Illinois who passed in 2019. She specialized in China painting, and these two small paintings from 1975 show an amazing level of detail for such a tiny "canvas." Each landscape is only 3" in diameter, yet seems alive with detail. A little homestead in the snow of a sunny late winter day, and a peaceful stream meandering through a fall forest. The bark on the trees that are the focal point of each is just amazing considering how small they are! With the mounting, the entire piece is only 11" tall including the attached hanger by 4" wide.
