1970s silver & turquoise pendant vintage jewelry

A pendant from the 1970s my parent wore in high school & gifted to me many years ago in the 90s. Unmarked Color is silver & a turquoise cabochon Unsure if this is real, but I would assume not? No chain, just a very cool pendant. Boho, rock chick (or guy) style. Would be cute on a leather strap or chain.
