Gorgeous piece of unfinished never glazed ceramic jar. This depicts Native Americans presumably for tobacco storage likely made during the 1970s. Depicts three chiefs all facing outward and all slightly different from each other in their details.
Condition great other than overall yellowing on the surface of the piece. I’m not sure if this can be removed or cleaned, but I hope if someone were to glaze and fire this that should not be an issue with the process. Though I’m not certain..
Other than that no significant chips or cracks that I’ve noticed. Some pinhole throughout—-mostly on the faces of the Indian chiefs. Very nice detail throughout.. very intricate details. Would look amazing finished with color!
Storage area is about 4” deep and just under 4” wide. Overall height of piece is 12” tall with lid and about 7” wide.
