Florida's Favorite Foods: Fruits and Vegetables in the Family Menu This cookbook was produced by the state of Florida Department of Agriculture in 1959. It's 202 pages (including an index) of mid-century fruit and vegetable recipes like: - Lemon Egg Nog - Florida Vitamin Relish - Grape Catsup - Peach Chutney - Grapefruit Snow Pudding - Dixie Spoon Bread - Scalloped celery - Cabbage rolls - Pineapple Omelet There is also nutrition information and descriptions of all the different fruits and vegetables you can find in Florida. This particular cookbook was originally a gift from US Congressman Charles Bennett. He (or more likely, someone from his office!) stamped it, 65 years ago, with "BEST WISHES FROM Charles C. Bennett, Member, US Congress, 2nd District, Florida" On the condition, the cover has separated from the main part of the book (as shown), but it is 65 years old, and other than that, it's pretty great condition! A wonderful artifact of Mid-Century history.
