1956 PINE GROVE HIGH SENIOR RING MISSISSIPPI?

1956 Pine Grove High Senior ring. Blue stone, unsure if white gold or some other metal. No tarnishing so it must not be silver. Monogrammed on inside with MJH and VAL. Basketball on 1 side, possibly a panther ? on the other. The markings are clearly defined. This may be from a Mississippi high school but I am unsure.
