1950s Stetson Hatbox, Miniature, Cowboy Hat, Advertising collectible

Early 1950's vintage miniature STETSON fedora hat and hat box. I got this when they sold out the Stetson Hats warehouse in St Joseph, MO in the late 1990s. These hats are often referred to as salesman samples, which is kind of ridiculous since they are hard plastic. These were gift certificates that you purchased and then the recipient would take them back to the department store to get an actual hat that he wanted. The hat is approximately 6" around on the inside and is inflexible hard plastic. The box is 4 1/8 x 4 1/8 x 2 1/8". Did you know that July-October are the months that the most babies are born in? So in addition to needing a Father's day gift for dad, you need birthday presents for her and him and them. It is also wedding season! Vintage is in and my items make great gifts!
