1950's Pinup Wicker Purse with Sea Shell Motifs & Lucite Handles

This beauty is perfect for you 1950's loving babes looking to complete their spring and summer looks! This hard shell rectangular purse has a beautiful woven wicker body, made in Hong Kong in the 50's. The front side has a nautical scene made from sea shells, sea horse, starfish, and more. The scene is covered with a plastic vinyl fabrication and outlined in metallic trim. (note: some of the seashells are cracked or fallen) It has four metal protective feet and leather straps on the underside. This allows the purse to stand upright when sitting on a surface and also protects the wicker from damage. The top hardware and handles are a beautiful coral toned swirling lucite with silver tine metal accents. It opens up to reveal a pale, light pink vinyl interior with one large compartment, one side zip compartment, and one slit compartment. (note: interior lining has minor rip damages, but still structurally sound) This stunning piece is an authentic mid century gem that is sure to start conversations wherever you wear it...enjoy! Condition: Great overall condition with no structural issues. Some of the shells behind the clear vinyl are chipped or have fallen from their original position.
