Vintage 1950’s PYREX - seven pieces including: Two (2): Pyrex Turquoise Blue Band Milk Glass Flat Cups Four (4): Pyrex Flamingo Pink Band Milk Glass Flat Cups One (1): Pyrex Canada Aqua Sprayed Borders 10” Dinner Plate Cups: The “Pink Flamingo” cups were manufactured in the mid-century, about 1952; the “Turquoise Blue” cups in about 1963. The cups feature a simple, flat shape with a loop handle and a contrasting colored band, a common design element in mid-century kitchenware. They are made of milk glass, a type of opaque or translucent glass that was commonly used in the mid-20th century. The cups are 4” in diameter and 2.5” high. Great for coffee and tea, and other hot drinks. Plate: The 10” dinner plate hails from PYREX Canada. The Aqua Sprayed Borders line was introduced in the 1950s. The milk glass plate features a solid-colored aqua rim, around a white center. CONDITION: As vintage items, they show signs of wear, such as dulled color or wear on the rim, and scratches.
