1950 Lane Furniture Art Deco Cedar Waterfall Chest

A gorgeous Art Deco waterfall chest by Lane Furniture, circa 1950. The edges have been highly-carved by hand with motifs vaguely reminiscent of Art Nouveau sensibilities - leaves, vines, flora. When opened, the upper deck of the chest is lined in Green felt. The maker’s mark is prominent on the top’s verso, as well as all the original labels. There is some wear and tear due to age but it is in incredible condition for its age looks almost brand new just a few scuffs from over the years as noted in photos; please refer to photos for condition. In very fine vintage condition. Much better than age appropriate wear. It has wear more appropriate for furniture of 20 years of age, but not 74! The finest example we have come across. Several chips and minor gouges, but most of these show significantly more wear.
