Kramer is best known for making bold art deco statement pieces - most of which are abstract in design. Kramer's most notable achievements and one which made his jewelry so collectible is his collaboration with Christian Dior, to produce "Dior by Kramer" jewelry. You will likely never find such piece for sale - they are scarce and extremely valuable. This particular piece is a chunky gold tone bracelet with fold over clasp and safety chain as the second lock. It is just over 7 inches long and a little under 3/4 inches wide. It was purchased by my grandfather in 1950 as an anniversary gift to my grandmother. He bought it at a then-famous YOUNKERS Brothers Department store. My grandparents owned clothing and jewelry store and collected cool pieces. This bracelet sat in a curio cabinet its entire life. Perhaps it was tried on and taken out to be used as a conversation piece - but not worn. It remains in amazing condition for its age.
