1949's Joseph Margulies "The Seeker" Aquatint Etching -Signed Original *Framed*. Stunning! Joseph Margulies is one of the most highly trained of America's artist. As a youth he was a student of the noted late Joseph Pennell. He continued his studies at the national Academy of design and the arts students league of new york. Then he went abroad to study with French artists at the Ecole des Beaux in Paris with Maynard Waltner in Vienna. Margulies has been honored with the acquisition of 7 of his etchings for the metropolitan museum, 10 of his etchings for the Brooklyn museum. Others are owned in New York Public Library, Yale University, Iowa state collection, the Baltimore museum of art, the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian institute as well as scores of universities collections throughout the country.
