1940's wool tweed Tailored by Rock-Mount double breasted overcoat

This 1940's wool tweed coat by Rock-knit was actually one of my very first purchases for my shop. Listed long ago, but I am guessing my early photo's did it little justice. It's such a good looking old piece and I have loved having it around and never bothered re-listing it. But it's always been a favorite at my markets... no one ever purchased though. So it's one of those earlier pieces I am happy to have stay in my collection, but also felt like I should out it out there again. It's in incredible condition for it's age. Made very very well. The pocket styles get me... just look so cool! The only issues with this amazing coat are a few small moth holes. Most noticeable is pictured on sleeve. There is also a fain stain on the back of thr collar. But all of the seams are still together like new. Reminding us of a time where clothes were made so very well. Coat is double breasted. People have debated at my markets whether it was tailored as menswear or a ladies jacket. It can button one way for ladies, but only one button. I am leaning towards menswear given the double breasted style buttons all the way right.l, as well as sleeve length...but it honestly looks rad on anyone who has tried it on! The belt buckle has some wear to it as pictured but just cosmetic. Measurements Shoulder- 16.5" Chest- max 40" Waist- max 34" Hips- max 44" Length- 36" Sleeve- 25" All sales are final.
