1940s hand painted tea saucer. Made in Japan shortly after end of WWII. Lovely.

This saucer is beautifully hand painted and has held it’s beauty since it was created shortly after the end of WWII. I once had the stunning cup that went with it but it was broken in a moving mishap sadly. I have kept the saucer as it’s so beautiful and the historical collectible nature of this beautiful piece. The stamp on the back is from just after the end of WWII, while Americans were in Japan to assist with stabilization. This Japanese hand painted rose is delicate and so lovely. The saucer is a work of art all on its own I’ve found. The stamp on the back adds a rich history to the piece’s story. This little saucer is around 75+ years old.
