Summery embroidered peasant blouse I had made from a true vintage 1940s pattern (dated 1947, to be exact) by a professional local seamstress. Made up in a wonderfully light and floaty cotton batiste in a vivid shade of jungle green, accented with machine-embroidered pink and white roses on the shoulders and puff sleeves. White eyelet lace trims the square neckline and sleeve edges. I only wore this top a few times before I lost weight; it’s now sadly too big for me, so it’s time for her to go to a new home! This is a boxier style meant to be worn tucked in and bloused, but it can be worn untucked as well. Size is roughly a medium, with some flexibility due to the unstructured design. Bust measures 44” (best on a smaller bust, to allow ease), waist 35”. For reference, I measured around 37”/28” when this fit me. This pulls on over your head with no side/back openings, so be sure to factor that in when considering the size.
