1940s Pink and Blue Lucite Flying Birds Pin

This vintage pink and blue lucite pin from the 1040s is heat molded, with lightly painted details. The pin has a glued plastic and metal mechanism, which was typical of the period for plastic brooches. It is in excellent vintage condition. These types of pins were very popular in the 1940s, when the war effort led to severe shortages of metal for jewelry-making.
