1940's BUCO LEATHER MOTORCYCLE JACKET!!

This is an original Buco leather motorcycle jacket. The studding and gems were sold as a kit so the owner could personally customize their jacket to their hearts delight. It is in solid, yet loved condition. Points to note* the top of the right shoulder has the most cracking, but will come back to life when you keep it moisturized with your favorite leather conditioner. The left shoulder has minor cracking. The quilted lining is in solid shape, with no rips or tears. It has some fading from sunburn visible at the top center. Just inside the sleeve cuffs, the lining has some small tears, as the fabric has disintegrated a bit. This does not, in any way, take away from the functionality or beauty of the piece. The specific brown label marked "Buco Product" tells us this jacket is from the late 1940's!! Buco's manufacturing was maintained entirely at an in-house factory in Detroit, allowing the brand to produce the highest quality leather jackets available on the market at the time. The horsehide rider’s jackets produced during 1940s-50s are considered their masterpieces. The quality and perfection of these jackets remain a gold standard for leather jacket designs still to this day.
