Gorgeous blue wool gab skirt suit from the 1940's! Not a true navy, but darker than "royal blue". Really nice rich color. Look at that cool pocket detail! It's not real pockets, just a decorative accent. All buttons are present. The jacket has strong shoulder pads and a shapely cut. The jacket is lined in a heavy plum satin. The skirt is a straight cut mid-length, with a steel side zipper and button waist closure. No pockets, pleats, or belt loops. Overall GREAT condition for it's age, it comes to me from the original owner's daughter... the original owner was born in 1914, and lived to be 106! Here are a few things I noted when examining this for condition (last 3 pics): Lining has a few small holes and picks in fabric, skirt hem has a little patch on the inside, but neither shows when worn. The zipper looks perfect, but is actually fairly temperamental, took me a few tries to get it to zip. Just hasn't been run in decades. I had this dry cleaned, so it's fresh. Fits XS, measurements below.
