This reading woman came from the Taunten Library which was located in Massachusets, here is a brief history on it.
Taunton Public Library is the public library of Taunton, Massachusetts. It is located at 12 Pleasant Street, in an architecturally distinguished Beaux Arts building built in 1903 with funding support from Andrew Carnegie, to which a modern addition was made in 1979. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a particularly fine local example of Beaux Arts architecture.[2]

I purchased this statue in the early 1990's at a auction in Virginia. This is truly a piece of History to add to your vintage collection. I would love to keep her, however with my Antique store closing, I am having to liquidate everything. I hope I can find her a good home.
She does have a chip on the back of her base of the statue. and a few little dings, However considering her age and the distance she's traveled, she's still in remarkable shape. And display case worthy.
And at this price she is a steal, I Paid 4x what I am asking for her.

what does the bottom look like, is she numbered anywhere, and what
does the open book content look like? it looks like actual paper that she is looking at but I'm thinking if this is a Vicari, the actual sculpture would not be actual paper in the book.
