1930’s Velvet Gown

Given to me by a dear friend, this gown was made and purchased for her mother in the late 1920’s. It has been kept in amazing condition for its age. There is discoloration in several places of the velvet, largely along the hem. It is picturedand not terribly noticeable. The side opening, has been hand sewn shut. The velvet is extremely light and stretchy, so that the dress can be pulled on. Laying flat, waist 13in, bust 15in, length 63in. Lined with silk chiffon, and slightly shimmery.
