1930’s Silk and Lurex Embroidered Blouse - Antique Garment

Amazing antique blouse. I found this at an estate sale in the attic. It looks to be circa 1920’s or 30’s. The blouse consists of two layers, both silk, but the top layer is embroidered with gold threads and it stunning. So, like many things this old, it’s not perfect. There’s some under arm staining and discoloration on the back. I’ve never washed this, so I don’t know what would happen if you did but I’d find a skilled dry cleaner or just leave it as is. No smells or holes. The hem has been undone. I wonder if this was part of an old dress, and the skirt was ruined so they removed it and were just going to make it into a blouse. You can see where the old stitches were, that’s why I think it was in the process of being altered. Armpit to army - 18”. #flapper, silk, embroidery, antique, vintage, granny core, fancy, attic find.
