This Elegant blue decorative plate featuring a detailed portrait of little Shirley Temple is perfect for adding a touch of color to your home decor.
In 1934, General Mills Inc., the maker of Wheaties, contracted the Hazel Atlas Glass Co. to manufacture a cobalt blue Shirley Temple breakfast set that featured a milk pitcher, mug and cereal bowl, all with Shirley's dimpled smile and ringlet curls.
The items were made of pressed glass, and each cereal bowl had a honeycomb pattern along the side. The inscription on the bowl read ``Hello Everybody,' with Shirley Temple's name printed below. The company also offered a Shirley Temple mug as a premium with a purchase of Bisquik. Thus, Hazel Atlas Co. made the breakfast sets until 1942.
Still very vividly but incredibly delicate, you can still enjoy the sweet face of little Shirley, herself! Unfortunately, however, the edges have not been scathed through the years of enjoyment. The edges are lightly chipped so please proceed with caution: DECORATIVE PIECE ONLY!
