Gasoline Powered Diamond Iron by Akron Lamp Co
Unrestored original patina
This is a very nice antique Gas iron made by the Akron Lamp Company The best information I can find is it was made and sold between 1914 and 1936. The name is " The Diamond Iron" It stands about 7 inches tall and is 10 inches long including the tank. The wooden handle is in good shape and the control valve does turn.
Included in this package:
• a metal trivet for resting it on when hot
• the original cardboard box
• all original papers; instructions, forms for ordering parts, the paper tag that was attached to it when new, information about other Diamond appliances, etc.
• various spare parts in their original envelopes
• aluminum funnel
• pump for adding air to the gasoline iron
Vintage 1930s gas iron, "The Diamond Iron", by the Akron Lamp and Mfg. Co., in very good working condition. The iron features a gas ball, vented body and wooden handle with a dark brown patina. It weighs 6 pounds. Perfect for a country laundry room. Enjoy!

@kariperez998 This is an antique iron that uses kerosene. It operates like a camping stove. I don't think you'd want to actually iron clothing with it unless you live where there is no electricity and you really want to do some ironing. I see it as a collectible, a conversation piece, a rustic decoration. It's really a unique item!

@pusslovesyou Haha! Yes it probably works, but I wouldn't use it on a regular basis.
