1923 Vintage Warren National Bank Metal Coin Bank By Bankers Utilities Co.

This is a vintage coin bank (NO KEY) shaped like a book, promoting the Warren National Bank of Warren, Pennsylvania.  Again, THERE IS NO KEY. These types of coin banks were often produced by companies like Bankers Utilities Co. in the early 20th century as promotional items for banks.  The bank is designed to resemble a book, with a red cover featuring a gold-colored illustration of the Warren National Bank building and the bank's name and location.  The spine of the "book" is also visible, suggesting it can stand upright.  These coin banks served as both a functional savings tool and a marketing piece for the bank.  Measures 5 1/4 inches tall Measures 3 1/2 inches wide Measures 1 inch thick The front says: Warren National Bank, Warren, Pennsylvania. The bank has a new name now. The side says: Book of Thrift Vol. 1 The bottom says: Bank Utilities Company San Francisco, California Patented July 3, 1923 Made in U.S.A The back says: Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation $5,000 Maximum Insurance For Each Depositor This belonged to my grandfather. It is in great Vintage condition considering it is 102 years old. Imagine that 102 years old. The coroners are alittle rough as you can see from the pictures. The only problem is there is NO KEY.
