@howlingdi So we are not sure if the Cresent moon and star means it was from or bought at the 1923 world's fair. That is what I am trying to figure out. You can get several bracelets from 1930's and 1940's. They usually have a stamp like a triangle and may say Filigrane on the back, which means it is from France and made in France. I'll try to see if I can find more info. If you get anymore info, please let me know. thx

@howlingdi @parischeryl Hi guys! This is a documented piece. Turkish panel bracelets in this style were first presented in the Turkish Pavilion at the 1889 World Exposition in Paris, but this particular bracelet can be dated to 1923 Paris World's Fair by the Turkish National Silver Standard hallmark on the back.

The Turkish silver standard mark was used on pieces from .800 to .950 silver, but the silver presented at the 1923 World's Fair is always .900 - .925 because the young Republic was presenting themselves to the world as a viable trading partner and Europe was already using the .925 standard.

And the chain is always pot metal so if you need to replace it to lengthen or shorten it, it doesn't harm the value of the piece.

soooo beautiful. I have one more question. I'm looking at the clasp. is it just a hook type clasp? When you wear it, does it stay on? I have a small wrist. I saw you said it would fit 7 inches but can fit 8 inches. I'm just wondering how it can fit 7 inches and 8 inches. Can you show me a pic of it clasped so I can get an idea of what it looks like when clasped. May be hard to show a pic of it clasped, but if you can, that would be great.

I'm just worried it may come off your wrist if it is not tight on your wrist. Sometimes, these will come unclasped and come off if not tight on the wrist. I lost a bracelet that had that type of clasp. Sorry for so many questions, but I'm really interested in this bracelet. Thank you. I would appreciate it.

@parischeryl hi! I added 2 more photos. I also have a small wrist & it fits great. It’s 7” with an additional inch if needed on the extension. The hook is tight but easy to hook on to the chain & will not slip off. If you need any more info let me know.
