1920's Gold Tone Fur or Dress Clip with Loop for Watch or Fob Attachment

Beautiful estate find! This is a fur clip meant to adorn the furs worn at the time. It has a very interesting almost mechanical design on the top along with swirls and flowers. All in a gold tone metal (might be 12kt gold filled, but not marked as such). On the back is a loop where a ladies watch or a decorative fob. would hang. This would have been something owned and worn by a lady of high society. A fur clip differs from a dress clip (also popular in this era) in the the fur clip just has the 2 prongs that went into the fur whereas a dress clip had a clip with "grippers" on it which would damage a fur. Very collectible. Vintage 1920's circa Hallmarks – None, unmarked. Measurements – About 1 1/2" high by about 1 3/16" wide. Condition – Very good.
