1918 Noritake Waffle Set: Sugar Shaker & Syrup Pitcher. Art Deco Japan. *SEE MATCHING PLATES also listed. This set features a lovely hand painted sunset scene with a tree overlooking a Lake house and meadow. Bright and beautiful colours including a coral orange, pastels of green, yellow and blue. Edged in a coral tinged sunset and outlined in black revealing an Art Deco style. Gilt top on the sugar shaker (stopper missing) and embellishments on the pitcher. Both are marked Noritake Japan “M” and Hand Painted. Research says it is circa 1918 when there was a transition from Nippon Era to Deco Era according to the Noritake Collectors Guild website. Measures: Sugar shaker is just about 7"T x 2.25” Base Pitcher is 6”T x 3.5” spout to handle Also a 2.25” Base Weight: 12.3 oz. *SEE MATCHING PLATES also listed.
