This is an Andrew Sarosi tourmaline necklace / made for me to match a bracelet that I had that unfortunately I had stolen. It was from a group of the stones mined in Tanzania and there were a number of articles written about this find, because the stones were a rare color change type. Check AndrewSarosi.com for this pendant .

voula941 @mylittlebigboy my Father was Greek and after he died I created a family tree and discovered family in Gorani in the Peloponnesus south of Sparta. I visited there two years in a row -in 16 and 17. I fell in love with the place and am in close contact with them now. They treat me like a treasure - so different than here. A very generous and loving people.

mylittlebigboy @voula941 hi Patricia how was your summer? I don’t want the warm weather to end. I thought I’d go ahead and ask you. I really love this necklace but cannot purchase. Would you like to trade for anything in my closet? I have amazing Bottega bags that retailed for thousands and they are some of the top sellers they’ve had. Think about it and let me know. Warmest regards to you! Gia xoxox

voula941 @mylittlebigboy I really appreciate your very kind words. I really am not in the position of buying anything either. My husband’s been very ill and I’m selling off some personal items to try to pay some of his medical bills.

mylittlebigboy @voula941 I’m very sorry to hear. I understand as I have my own medical bills. We need a much better health system in this country. It’s actually horrific. Sending prayers and hugs your way.

jhorsager
jhorsager How many carats is the stone? What length is the chain? What metal purity is the chain and the gold around the gemstone? This is a tourmaline? Natural?
Dec 05Reply
jhorsager
jhorsager Paula can you please answer these questions?
Dec 06Reply
voula941
voula941 @jhorsager it is an 18 caret gold chain - the tourmaline is natural and came from a mine in Africa and I was told by Andrew Sarosi it was a “color change” tanzanite. I purchased a bracelet and he made me this necklace to match. I forget the number of Carets but if you look on his website he still lists one like it there. I’m sorry that I can’t provide additional information -
