18K Gold Blue Sapphire and Diamond Pierced Earrings - Posts with Nuts

Dating anywhere from the 1970s to 1990s, may I offer this pair of 18K White Gold (hallmarked on nuts as pictured), diamond and blue sapphire stud earrings - post style. With a round design to the front, each earring is filled with 9 blue sapphires measuring 2mm to 2.4mm (2 to 2.5 points); total weight of sapphires in the pair is about .45CT TW (perfectly matched color and pristine clarity). Each earring also holds 4 accent diamonds measuring 1 point each for a total weight of .08CT TW the pair (G-H color; SI clarity). Total gemstone weight to the pair is a little over .50CT TW. Fronts measure 5/16" high/wide; combined weight of the pair is 3.8 grams. The posts to the earrings are marked with the makers initials of JR G - a maker I am unfamiliar with; judging by the 750 hallmark (and not an 18K), I would guess the earrings are European manufactured with the designer from one of any number of countries overseas.
