The entire surface of the beaker is decorated, and the decoration is in four individual panels. The principle decorations are a portrait of the mature Queen Victoria,dated 1897 and wearing the small crown and mantilla.
On the opposite side is a portrait of the young Queen wearing the conventional crown,as she was in 1837 at the time of her Coronation. Between the portrait panels, the other two areas are decorated with Queen Victoria's Royal Coat of Arms, and the Imperial State Crown.
Enamel over tin.
Top and bottom gold trim bit thinned in places. Some nicks in white paint of rim.
