The picture of the model wearing the dress appears to be shorter than the description of 40 inches from shoulder to hem. Please clear up my confusion. The shorter dress in this picture with the woman model is my interest.

@pcullen53 everyone's body shape is different so it would depend on your personal measurements to see where it would fall. I suggest measuring starting at the peak of your shoulder and going down 40 inches to see a general idea of where this will fall.. Bust size will make a slight difference as a larger bust will make the dress a bit shorter.
